Add the Library's Mobile icon to your iPad/iPhone or Android's  home screen for easy access to our mobile site.

For iPad/iPhone:

   1.  From your device's browser go to:   http://libraryinfo.bhs.org
   2.  Tap on the bookmark icon  
   3.  HSL icon will be saved to home screen

For Android device:

  1. Bookmark http://libraryinfo.bhs.org  
  2. Open the browser “bookmarks” screen
  3. Long-press the library bookmark 
  4. Select “Add to Home screen”

Mobile Access on the iPhone, Blackberry Bold, and Android devices

To access the mobile optimized version of AccessMedicine:

Register  for a My AccessMedicine account. (Note: you must register either from on-campus or while logged in remotely to your institution’s network.)
Go to www.accessmedicine.com on your mobile browser.

Users who are on-site at Baystate and have their mobile devices connected to the WiFi will be able to access the sites seamlessly on the mobile devices, just as they would from any on-site computer.

For iPad access, simply log in to the site remotely as you would from an off campus computer.

Log in to ClinicalKey from your mobile device even if you’re not at your institution.  First create a personal account.

  1. Go to http://www.clinicalkey.com/ from within your institution.
  2. Click the “Register” link in the top right.
  3. Enter your data.  Your email address will be your username.
  4. Confirm your password by re-entering it.
Return to Home page

With no application to download, simply navigate to MICROMEDEX 2.0 on your mobile browser and begin using the same tools and full content of the desktop application. 

  1. Navigate to http://www.micromedexsolutions.com/micromedex2/librarian/ on your mobile device browser (Opera Mini for BlackBerry devices and Safari for the iPhone).

  2. Enter your authentication information. If you do not know your authentication information (username and password), navigate to http://www.micromedex.com/products/mobile2/ on a computer connected to baystate's network. A username and password are displayed for your use. These login credentials expire on a quarterly basis. Return to the mobile page each quarter to obtain new login credentials.

  3. Begin using mobileMicromedex 2.0.

You will first have to create a free personal "My PsychiatryOnline" account. To create an account:

  1. Go to http://www.psychiatryonline.com/ from a desktop or laptop at baystate.
  2. Click the My POL ("My PsychiatryOnline") link from the homepage.
  3. Follow the instructions for creating an account.
  4. From your PDA, go to http://m.psychiatryonline.com/ and enter your “My PsychiatryOnline” username and password.

Some content can also be downloaded to your PDA as an ebook so that you can have access even when your device is not connected to the Internet. Look for the "PDA Download" link on book content pages. 


Direct Mobile Access at PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/)

* Ability to do basic searches in PubMed.
* Ability to view “Free Articles” only. This is useful if you are not logged into your academic library’s proxy connection, or if you do not have a subscription to groups of medical journals.

PubMed Mobile does not include specialized search pages, such as Limits and Advanced search, or added features, such as My NCBI, Clipboard, or LinkOut/Outside Tool. Icon
