Creating durable links to full-text articles


Durable links can be created from Ebsco, MDConsult, Ovid, Up-to-date, Tufts and other databases to full-text articles with a few mouse clicks. Click on each database for instructions.

Ebsco
  • From the library's website Click on the "Journals" link
  • Locate and open the PDF full text link to the article
  • Click on "citation" on the top right corner of screen
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page
  • Copy & paste the "persistent link to this record" code

  • Open MDConsult via the library's databases webpage
  • Click on the "Journals" tab
  • Locate and right click on the PDF article
  • Click on "copy shortcut" and paste the URL

  • From the library's website Click on the "Journals" link
  • Locate a NEJM journal article
  • Right click on PDF file and select "copy shortcut"
  • Paste URL
Ovid
  • Open the library’s databases webpage
  • Open Medline/ovid
  • Click on “browse your Journals @ ovid” link
  • Locate and open the ovid full text of your article
  • Click email jumpstart
  • Copy & paste the link after "your jumpstart url is"

PubMed Central provides a free digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature.

  • Locate the PDF Journal article
  • Right click on PDF file and select "copy shortcut"
  • Paste the URL

 

 

 

  • Open UpToDate via the library's databases webpage
  • Click on UpToDate
  • Locate and open an article
  • Copy & paste the URL on the address bar
