In Academic Affairs, we recognize the considerable effort that our preceptors give towards the education and development of learners. Students who choose to learn at Baystate benefit from the experience of a group of dedicated staff who thoughtfully balance their roles as employees and teachers.
In an effort to encourage your success as preceptors, and to engage more staff in this role, we are working together with the Allied Health Education Committee (AHEC) to deliver a series of professional development workshops. The goal of the Learning Lunch Series for Allied Health Preceptors is to support, engage, and develop our preceptors in the foundational principles of teaching.
We realize that time is scarce. The Learning Lunch Series is designed to meet the time restrictions of our preceptors. These workshops will be offered during the lunch break and will not exceed 25 minutes. And, we will provide lunch.
Articles relevant for each workshop can be found by clicking on the workshop tab. These articles are available online through the Baystate Library & Knowledge Services. While participants would benefit from reviewing materials prior to attending the workshop, doing so is certainly not mandatory.
We encourage all those who are interested in teaching to attend!
