At Baystate Medical Center, you can either use the free, basic edition of EndNote or purchase the more robust desktop client version to be installed on your work PC. For more information about each version, check out the EndNote Online User Guide above or go to http://endnote.com/product-details/basic.
If you are interested in purchasing the desktop version of EndNote (approximately $68), you will have to fill out the Computer Software form through the IT department:
From The Hub, go to the I&T Portal; select Order Hardware & Software > Software tab > Funds Transfer PC Software > open Word document "Funds Transfer - PC Software" on right side of page > fill out form and send to ITDeployment@baystatehealth.org.
If you have the desktop version of EndNote, go to Edit > Preferences > Find Full Text to enable this feature. Check all four boxes to maximize EndNote's ability to find full text, then enter the following OpenURL Path:

Here is what your EndNote Find Full Text Preferences should look like:
Please Note:
Baystate uses OpenAthens to authenticate its subscriptions from off-campus, which does not integrate with EndNote. So, you may find that using the Find Full Text feature works better when you are on-campus or using a computer that is on the Baystate network.
Once you have references saved in your EndNote library, highlight/select the citations you would like and click the Find Full Text button in the toolbar at the top. EndNote will search the Web and library resources for full text and will show you the results on the left side of the page (any full text PDFs will also attach to the corresponding citations). Please see screenshot below for more details:
Please Note:
The EndNote Find Full Text feature will not find everything. For any outstanding citations that you would like in full text, please email Baystate library (librarydocs@baystatehealth.org) and we will send the PDF files to you.
