Membership

The beauty of our BERST community is its diversity of voices at the table. BERST provides the opportunity to network with a diverse group of educators both in and outside of our institution. The growth of this social network is critical as good teaching grows through feedback and collaboration. Additionally, we hope that it leads to more interprofessional educational collaboration outside of BERST. Our members rate the diversity of our community as one of the key benefits of their membership.

As a BERST member, you will:

  • Engage with an interprofessional community of educators across the institution
  • Explore key principles of education through innovative professional development sessions
  • Advance your career as a teacher, coach, advisor, or leader
  • Attend regular professional development where continuing education credit is provided

You membership in BERST begins with a required two-day, interactive and foundational professional development experience held in October called Base Camp.  From there, you will have access to monthly and annual offerings, including BERST Bites. Plus, you'll have first dibs on attendance at our special offerings such as Rounds and Mini-Courses!

BERST Academy is open to all employees.
